Teen Talk Tuesday: Wise Counsel

If you’re joining us again, last week we walked down the road of human sexuality and what it had done in ancient history, what it is doing today to individuals and families.

Our prayer is that you really understand the importance of purity for yourself, respect for yourself and honoring God by all decisions.

I was working at a cash register the other day and a couple with a young 3-year-old son came through.  However, he was running around and while I was doing my job, he came up and grabbed the keys from my counter.  Immediately, I looked at him and said “Come here and bring them back.” He just looked at me and obeyed.  Both parents didn’t do anything, just looked at me like I had whipped him.

One of our sons one time, when I was giving wise counsel, said “Mom, I know you don’t want me to make mistakes, but I just want to do my own thing. I know what you’re saying, but I want to make my own mistakes.”
